This Privacy Policy describes how Expenzio Technologies (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Expenzio Android application (package ID com.expenzio) and the website https://www.expenzio.in.

2. Local-first books (important)

Expenzio is designed as a local-first business app. Your sales, purchases, stock, expenses, and party ledger data are stored on your device. In the current version, we do not sync your full books to our servers. You remain responsible for device backups using in-app backup/export features.

3. Information we collect on our servers

To operate registration, access control, updates, support, and push notifications, our servers may receive:

• Device identifiers & hardware metadata — a device UUID generated by the app, manufacturer, model, brand, Android version, SDK level, app version / version code.
• Network / location approximations — IP address and derived country (not precise GPS).
• Business profile metadata — optional company UUID, business name, phone, currency, country, business type (not your full transaction history).
• FCM token — used to deliver push notifications you may receive from us.
• Feedback — name, email, and message if you submit feedback in-app or on the website.

4. Firebase Analytics & Cloud Messaging

We use Google Firebase for Analytics (usage statistics) and Cloud Messaging (push notifications). Firebase may process device and app instance identifiers according to Google’s policies. We do not use Firestore as the access-control source of truth; device allow/block and update policy are stored in our MySQL database.

5. Android permissions

Depending on features you use, the app may request permissions such as internet access (API, updates, notifications), notifications (reminders / FCM), and storage/media access for backups or attachments where applicable. Permissions are requested for stated product purposes only.

6. How we use information

• Register devices and keep the app working securely
• Allow or block a device or company when required for abuse, non-payment, or policy enforcement
• Communicate force or optional app updates
• Send operational or informational push notifications
• Respond to feedback and support requests
• Improve reliability and understand aggregate usage via Analytics

7. Admin controls

Authorized administrators may view registered devices/companies metadata, allow or block access, configure force/optional updates, manage FAQs, review feedback, and send push notifications to all or selected devices.

8. Children

Expenzio is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Retention, sale of data & security

We retain server-side registration and support data as needed to operate the service and legal obligations, then delete or anonymize when no longer required. We do not sell your personal information. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access controls, secrets outside the web root). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you (for example, feedback or device registration records). Contact contact@expenzio.in. Local books on your device remain under your control via uninstall/backup.

11. Changes

We may update this policy to match product behavior. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
